Fundraiser FAQs

GENERAL

This fundraiser is amazing. When can we do it again?

We want to accommodate as many different groups as possible. As a result, we limit each organization to one fundraiser every six months. If you are interested in fundraising with us again in the future, feel free to reach out again in six months by visiting TammysPizza.com.

Does the fundraiser apply to multiple Tammy’s Pizza locations?

Yes, at this time, your fundraiser will be available at both Grove City locations

Can we hold our fundraiser during lunch?

We only host fundraisers during our slower evening hours on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. When we host them at other times, it tends to cause long lines and a really negative experience for both your supporters and our regular guests. We stick to two time-frames of 4-8pm or 5-9pm.

Can we place our organization’s logo on the fundraiser flyers?

We will supply a flyer for you to print, email, use on socials, etc.  – and we can add your organization logo before sending it to you.  Please do not make any additional edits to our fundraiser flyers.   If you want us to add your logo, please send your clear background logo in JPG, PNG to TIFF file types to info@tammyspizza.com (with your fundraiser info so we can match it up)

FUNDRAISER DETAILS

Can we promote at the restaurant?

All promotion must be done ahead of time and not in our restaurant or on the premises to our regular customers.

Violating this policy may result in your fundraiser being cancelled.

Can we have a table at the restaurant to share information about our cause?

We are thrilled to support your organization with our fundraiser, and we will send out a social media post to help promote - but we won’t be able to accommodate tables, donation jars, decorations, or distribution of information. We need to do everything in our power to be the very best neighbors to our surrounding businesses and to ensure that we are making those guests not with your fundraiser feel at home and unsolicited.

What do people have to do to have their purchase count?

For your purchase to count towards your fundraiser, your supporters must either

                                                                  a) verbally tell our cashier of their participation and the code at checkout

                                                                  b) show a physical fundraiser flyer with code at checkout

                                                                  c) show a digital flyer with code on a smartphone or other mobile device at checkout

                                                                  d) use your fundraiser’s online ordering code to place an order at TammysPizza.com

Remember, orders placed at a different time than your scheduled event will not count towards your fundraiser.

Can my online order be counted towards the fundraiser?

Yes! Online orders can be counted towards your fundraiser. Supporters must place their orders for pickup or delivery through TammysPizza.com and use your fundraiser’s code in the “promo code” field. Your unique code will be shared with you via email once we have approved your fundraiser. Remember, orders placed at a different time than your scheduled event will not count towards your fundraiser.

How much does Tammy’s Pizza give back?

We give back 20% of the proceeds brought in by your supporters (pre-tax),

meaning if your supporters bring in $200, we’ll send you a check for $40  ($500 = $100, $1000 = $200, etc.)

Does Tammy’s Pizza have a minimum sales requirement to receive a check?

To receive a check, we require your organization to bring a minimum of $150 in total sales.

On average, this is about 8-12 average size evening orders.

Do we need staff or team members from our organization there to facilitate or work the fundraiser?

We don’t need staff or team members to be there during the fundraiser to facilitate, however, keep in mind that you do need your supporters to show up and tell our cashiers that they’re there supporting the fundraiser (which is how your group raises funds for the event).

The more money spent by your supporters, the more you receive back!

PAYMENT AND CHECK INFORMATION

Can I address the check to someone’s attention?

We are unable to write a check or envelope to anyone’s attention – only to the organization . The checks are sent directly from the bank

with the payee as the organization on the W9 form.  The memo line on the check will reference the fundraiser.

How long does it take to receive my check after the fundraiser?

Our checks take about 2-4 weeks to process and are then sent via U.S. mail.

How long are your checks valid once received?

Our checks expire 180 days after they are issued.

Where will the check be mailed?

The check will be mailed to the organization address as listed on the W9 form.

Can we pick up the check at the restaurant?

As our checks are sent from our bank check system – so it is not possible to pick up your check from your local Tammy’s Pizza restaurant.

I want to have the check made out to me directly instead of an organization.

We are unable to write fundraising checks to individuals, only to organizations.

We ask for your organization’s federal tax information (W9 form) to verify everything with

the IRS and ensure we can write you a check after your fundraiser.

Can you handwrite or add specific instructions on my check/envelope?

Our checks go through an automated print and envelope stuffing process at our bank’s processor, so we won’t be able

to handwrite or include any extra information on your check/envelope – but the memo line will reference the fundraiser.

TAX INFORMATION

What’s a federal tax ID number?

A federal tax ID number (or TIN/EIN) is a nine-digit number assigned after an organization registers themselves with the IRS. This number will always be nine digits (no letters or special characters) and is typically formatted like so: 12-3456789.

I don’t have a federal tax ID number — what do I do?

If your organization is registered with the IRS, it will have a federal tax ID number. If you are not able to locate your federal tax ID number, feel free to contact your treasurer, finance person, national office, or anyone in your organization that may have access to this information.

We’re a non-profit/501c(3)/tax-exempt organization, do we have a federal tax ID number?

Yes! If your organization falls into one of these categories, it will have a federal tax ID number.

My federal tax ID number has more or less than nine digits.

If the number you are using has more or less than nine digits or includes letters,

this is not your federal tax ID number and not a number we may use.

I received an email from you all that my tax information doesn’t match. What does this mean?

When verifying your tax information, the IRS doesn’t tell us what doesn’t match, only that the name and federal tax ID provided aren’t a match

in their system. We aren’t informed which piece of information is incorrect.

If you receive this message, it means that either the name in line 1 of the W-9 doesn’t match the federal tax ID, vice-versa,

or both are incorrect. Please verify this information with your organization again before resubmitting your W9 form.

Our organization is part of a public school, college or university and doesn’t have a federal tax ID number.

Schools have a federal tax ID, called an EIN, but it is also possible that your organization within the school district has its own,

if one was set up for fundraising purposes.  If not, then you can use the school district’s federal ID,

but the W9 will need to be completed with the district information so the ID check will match with the IRS.

Who can I call if my organization’s name and tax ID don’t match?

You can ask the IRS to search for your EIN by calling the Business & Specialty Tax Line at (800) 829-4933.

An assistor will ask you for identifying information and provide the number to you over the phone,

as long as you are a person who is authorized to receive it.

I submitted the wrong tax information. What do I do?

To change your tax information, please submit a replacement W9 form with the correct information.

Send to info@tammyspizza.com . In the email, please explain the changes.

Please note that this will take additional time – and the fundraiser cannot be done until the federal tax information matches on the IRS site.

If correct tax information isn’t supplied at least a week prior to your fundraiser, it will expire and you will lose your date on the calendar.

I had a fundraiser last year, why can’t Tammy’s Pizza use the tax information I submitted then?

We must have a new W9 form on file for each fundraising event, to keep on file for the IRS.
